Blackstorm Security certifications exist to prove one thing: that a professional who attended our training can actually do the work, not merely recognise the terminology. Every exam is entirely practical, and the passing score is 75%.

How the Exam Works

  • Format — offline. The exam is sent directly to the student, who works on it in their own environment.
  • Time to complete — 30 days from the moment the exam is delivered.
  • Tasks — no multiple choice. Students analyse real artifacts, write working exploits, and build the environments needed to do so.
  • Final report — the decisive component. Students must document how each task was solved, in full technical detail: what was found, how, why the approach worked, and what the evidence was.

What It Proves to an Employer

A candidate holding one of these certifications has demonstrated, under their own name and within a fixed deadline, that they can take an unfamiliar problem, build the environment to attack it, solve it with working code, and then explain the whole chain of reasoning in writing.

That last part matters more than it may appear. In this field the analysis is only half the job — a finding that cannot be communicated clearly is worth very little to an employer or a client. Requiring a full written report is deliberate, and it is the reason these certifications say something a multiple-choice exam cannot.
